Taaz.com: See How a New You Looks Like
April 13th, 2008
If you’ve loved this free hair do makeover application, you might also want to try Taaz, a new site that lets you see how your face would fare with a makeover.
It’s good for those who are more into details and those who’d like to see how different makeup would affect their looks.
I enjoyed changing my lipstick’s color and the different eyeshadows just got me nuts. What’s also nice about Taaz is that it recommends certain product brands that will help you make your makeover come true. This is one good way to advertise cosmetics, don’t you think?
The catch is it can be more complicated to use than a simple “upload”, “choose” and “see” steps that simplistic makeover sites like HairMixer require.

April 11th, 2008
A mom’s job is never easily done, they say. But a mom’s job could be much easier with today’s technology. Moms nowadays aren’t just housewives. Moms these days are professionals, businesswomen and those who practically bring home the bacon. They work all day but the demands are high and usually 8-10 hours a day simply isn’t enough. They can’t help but take their work home.
Usually they’re on the go, business trips are a hassle when you have work to do. Why not take the work with you? Technology these days are built for the hectic schedule of your every day life. Here are practical gadgets to help the professional mom finish the job. Although it of course depends on the her profession, these are the usual gadgets
1. Mobile phone. Mobile phones these days have everything from GPRS to wireless internet, MP3 players to digital camcorders. A mobile phone is one of the most practical ways of communicating and keeping in touch. May it be your boss or your clients or your family and friends. A mobile phone does it all. Not only does a mobile phone keep you connected, it also stores information and data needed for your everyday life. Schedules, tasks and meetings may be programmed into your phone’s calendar. You may also store your favorite songs, view digital pictures or video chat through 3G.
2. Laptop. A laptop is a very handy tool in the office. Some high-end laptops out today are designed specially for those in the go. Some are shockproof and waterproof; some are as thin as your mobile phone; and, some are only as big as a pocket book. Not only do laptops store all the needed information required in your job, but through this innovation, you can take your work with you at home and on business trips.
3. USB Flashdrive. Another very practical gadget needed these days is only the size of your pinky finger. The USB Flashdrive, compact as it is, could store up to 4 GB of disk space. Not everyone can afford a high end phone or a laptop, but a flashdrive is very affordable. If you have unfinished work in the office, take it home with you in the flashdrive and do your work at home in your PC. Flashdrives nowadays just keep getting smaller and cheaper; some could even be mistaken as a pendant. You may store files, pictures, music, videos and much more in a flashdrive.

Feel Some Skin with LG SH240
April 6th, 2008
LG has proven its creativity and style with their idea of skinning up their LG SH240 cell phone. A mobile phone designed to have a skin-to-skin action. Touch the keypad and it will feel like real skin.
The Secret
Unlike the rubbery and cold feeling of other hansets, this GSM HSDPA handphone comes with a silicon (or silicone?) coating on its front including d-pad and keypad in order to give the user the feeling of touching the skin. That’s really touching! I didn’t know cell phones can be sentimentals too and can connect to people by touching them, funny but amazing eh?
The key selling point of this unique gadget is the silicon texture on its keypad other than its 2 megapixel and video calling features.
I wonder, if you talk long enough with LG SH240, will it also give a warm feeling as the battery heats up and may also resemble a warm human touch? Sounds pretty interesting.
A remarkable cellphone that can mimic the feel of real human skin! Is it some kind of a clone? I wouldn’t be surprised if they will invent a talking and robotic cell phone in the near future!
